Library Card Sign-up Month

Does everyone in your family have a library card? A library card encourages children to become responsible for library materials and will also help them to become life-long readers. School age children can get a library card with a parent's signature on the registration form. Sign them up today!

Books For Everyone

Be sure your family has enough library materials for the weeks in October the library will be closed. We will close Saturday, September 29, 2007 and re-open for the Grand Opening on Friday, October 26, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. You will be able to return materials to our book drop at the new location at 456 Pratt Street in Starke.

Family Storytime is every Tuesday beginning October 30 at 10:00 a.m. Join us for Halloween stories, books, songs, poetry and crafts for pre-schoolers with a parent. Program lasts 45 minutes.

Some Halloween stories to share with your children:

"Jeoffrey's Halloween" by Mary Bryant Bailey.

After roaming through fields, woods, and streets Joeffrey the cat is glad to finally return home.

"What a Scare Jessee Bear" by Nancy White Carlstrom.

At Halloween Jessie Bear picks out a pumpkin, helps make a jack-o-lantern and has fun trick-or-treating.
