Make reading a priority in your family life and your reward will be children who love to read and have a much better chance to become anything they desire.

L. Frank Baum was born May 15, 1857. Share the wonderful stories of Oz with your child. Ask them which character they would like to be. Some titles we own:

"The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" After a cyclone transports her to the land of Oz, Dorothy must seek out the great wizard in order to return to Kansas.

"The Emerald City"
Dorothy's aunt and uncle get acquainted with Oz after they lose their farm and Ozma invites them to live with her.

"The Road to Oz"
Dorothy's aunt Dorothy and her friends follow the enchanted road to Oz and arrive in time for Ozma's birthday party.

May is the month for thinking of Mother's. Have you shared a story with your mother about her grandchildren lately? Many of us are fortunate to have Mother's who take the time to read with children and that is one of the greatest gifts we can give as Mothers to our families.
